Our Commitment
AdviceOnly is committed to making our website accessible to all visitors, including individuals with disabilities.
Accessibility Standards
We are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at the Level AA standard, as published by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines provide a widely accepted framework for making web content more accessible to people with a broad range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments.
In July 2026 we completed an automated and structural accessibility review of the page templates used across this site, and fixed the issues it identified — principally a set of text colors that fell short of the AA contrast minimum. That review did not include testing with screen readers or other assistive technology, so we do not claim full conformance. Our goal is a website that is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for all users, and we are continuing to work toward it.
Current Efforts
We are taking the following steps to improve the accessibility of adviceonly.com:
- Reviewing our site content for clear language, logical heading structure, and meaningful link text
- Building with semantic HTML, labelled form controls, and visible keyboard focus, so the site works with assistive technology and keyboard-only navigation
- Working to ensure that images and media include appropriate alternative text
- Running automated accessibility scans (axe-core) against our page templates, and re-running them when we change the site's design system
- Testing that the site can be operated by keyboard alone, and that content reflows without horizontal scrolling on small screens
Known Limitations
Some elements of our site may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. In particular, we have not yet tested this site with screen readers or other assistive technology, and third-party content we embed, such as our scheduling and newsletter tools, is outside our direct control. We are committed to addressing issues as they are identified. If you encounter a specific barrier, we want to hear about it.
